Location:  Ocala is in Marion County and Williston in Levy County, Florida -- located 90 minutes northwest of Orlando, Florida and 30 minutes south of Gainesville, Florida.  Being so centrally located enables you to be close to beaches, rivers, springs, boating, theme parks, recreational parks, hunting, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, trails, hiking, malls and airports. 

Whether looking to raise a family, train and/or ride horses, live comfortably, work, relax or retire, you will want to consider investing in and residing in Florida. 

Both Marion and Levy Counties feature some of the most beautiful landscapes including those sought after granddaddy oaks scattered across miles of rolling pastureland and tree-lined scenic country roads, offering access to many rivers, preserves and state parks such as the Goethe State Forest in Levy County and the Florida Greenway in Marion County, offering horseback riding, camping, canoeing, nature walks, as well as some of the best bass fishing in Central Florida.   Some other opportunities include the Silver, Rainbow, Ocklawaha and Withlacoochee Rivers.   Juniper Run at Juniper Springs is a fun-filled trip for the entire family.  For those who enjoy skydiving and cave diving, Williston offers the Devil’s Den and Blue Grotto.  Imagine being able to enjoy the outdoors all year round!     

Marion County has more than 200 farms and training centers devoted to breeding, training and showing breeds such as the Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse, Hunter/Jumper, Paso Fino, Arabian, Morgan and miniature horses as well as many others.  Home of the well know Ocala Breeder’s Sales Company (OBS) and the annual Horses In The Sun (HITS) international hunter/jumper show. The Florida Agricultural Center and Horse Park was established in 1996 in recognition of the fact that the horse industry was so much a part of Marion County’s identity.  The park is an ideal setting, comprised of 500 acres adjoining the Cross Florida Greenway and near I-75. 

Marion County offers an active appreciation for the Fine Arts.  Fine Arts for Ocala (FAFO) was founded in 1967 and promotes visual and performing arts programs for people of all ages.  The Appleton Museum of Art is also a regional landmark and one of the southeast’s finest cultural assets.  The Appleton is one of the largest art museums in Florida. 

Marion and Levy Counties are centrally located in Florida making them convenient to visit Disney World, Epcot Center, MGM Studios, Sea World, Bush Gardens, Cypress Gardens and Silver Springs attractions as well as Daytona Beach to the east, Cedar Key to the west, St. Augustine to the northeast all within a 1 to 2 hour drive.  Gainesville, home of Shands Hospital and the University of Florida, Florida Gators, is 30 minutes north of Ocala. 

For those that love to shop, visit the Oaks Mall in Gainesville or our own Paddock Mall in Ocala, when you wish to stay close to home.  The Florida Mall, Belz Factory Outlet, Mall at Millenia, Church Street Exchange, Orlando Premium Outlets, all in Orlando a 2 hours’ drive. 

For those that love to travel by air, there is Ocala International and Williston Municipal airports close by.  Gainesville Regional offers commercial flights and is 30 minutes to the North.   Tampa and Orlando airports are within 90 minutes.  For those that wish to own a home in an aviation community, Marion County offers two locations to choose from, Leeward Air Ranch and Jumbolair, home of John Travolta.
